Director of Research & GIS- Commercial Real Estate Overview

Join our DFW Lee & Associate Marketing & Research team, in Dallas (Addison) to aid our industrial, office, healthcare, retail, land & capital brokers.

As a key member of our team, you will be primarily responsible for collecting and analyzing data, ensuring its quality, and working collaboratively with the Marketing & Research team to present data insights in a compelling manner. You will track and analyze all aspects of the local commercial real estate market, including economic drivers and demographics. By leveraging this knowledge, you will proactively contribute to research products, client projects, and business development efforts.

To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about the factors that shape cities, economies, and commercial real estate.  MUST BE LOCAL TO THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH METROPLEX.

Job Requirements

• Utilize our modern, open-source Spatial GIS mapping program to collect and audit commercial real estate and economic data.
• Gather data on properties, leases, tenants, availability, developments, sales, and owners for the Dallas/Fort Worth Office & Industrial market.
• Ensure data excellence through rigorous auditing and refinement processes.
• Analyze market data to identify trends and understand economic and real estate market drivers.
• Create insightful reports and visualizations to communicate key findings to internal teams and clients.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and facilitate the use of our technological tools.
• Demonstrate our tools and research capabilities, while sharing best practice standards.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience (preferably in commercial real estate)
• Data driven professional with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in data collection, validation, and auditing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to meet client expectations and represent the firm positively
• Desire to be part of a team structure, commitment to growth, excellence, and service to clients and team members
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, GPT and database systems
• Exposure to visualization tools preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Passionate about economic and commercial real estate market drivers and or urban planning and development
• Experience with JSON files, shape files, JavaScript programming and/or PostGIS is a bonus
